Robert “Bob” Ellsworth started Ellsworth Construction in Northeastern Oklahoma in 1974. Beginning as a paving and sealcoating company, our specialties have expanded to meet our clients’ growing needs over the years—allowing us to become a total site solution. Over the past 45+ years in service, we’ve been obsessed with two things:

How Do We Maintain Safety?
Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) Program Launch
Implementing a proactive observation and coaching system to reduce at-risk behaviors, improve communication, and drive a strong safety culture across all divisions.
Monthly Field Safety Training Program
Conducting bilingual, hands-on monthly training, covering high-risk tasks such as trenching, confined space, equipment operations, heat illness prevention, rigging, and silica exposure.
Leadership Safety Workshops
Training foremen and superintendents to lead from the front — focusing on hazard recognition, situational awareness, corrective coaching, and how to set safety expectations on site.
Site Safety Culture Development
Building a bottom-up culture of safety ownership through field engagement, visual safety aids, multilingual hazard recognition cards, and Pre-Task Planning (PTP) standardization.
Our History
The Ellsworth name has been part of Oklahoma’s civil construction landscape for generations. After returning from World War II, Nathan Ellsworth’s grandfather founded Ellsworth Bros Truck Line, hauling materials for the expanding interstate highway system through the 1950s.
In 1974, Bob Ellsworth launched a small paving and maintenance company focused on parking lots and rural roadways. Over the next four decades, that business grew steadily, earning a reputation for reliability and quality in asphalt paving.
In 2004, Nathan Ellsworth joined the family business with a vision to expand its capabilities. Under his leadership, Ellsworth Construction has evolved into a Total Site Solution provider—offering earthwork, underground utilities, concrete, and trucking services alongside its long-established asphalt operation.
In 2021, Ellsworth Inc expanded acquired A-Tech Paving a premier infrastructure company out of Oklahoma City allowing them to service more clients all across the State of Oklahoma and its surrounding regions.
